Hello! I am Cathy Colbert, owner of 1st Impressions Invitations.
I have been involved in the arts for as long as I can remember: as a former professional ballerina, I continually challenged my mind and body to achieve new artistic heights.

When I was getting married a few years back, I went in search of invitations that were as unique, different, and representative of the relationship my husband and I have. After being continually frustrated by the limitations of what I found and the lack of personal attention, I decided to create my own invitations, save-the-dates, ceremony programs, and party favors. The response was tremendous and eventually culminated in the creation
of 1st Impressions Invitations.
 

I am passionate about every project I take on, from the design and creation, to the personal connection I create with each client. I try to really understand my client's needs and background. My goal is to create my client's ideal stationary: a one-of-a-kind, won't-find-it-elsewhere invitation or announcement, while taking the potentially overwhelming task of creating such an item and making it as stress-free as I can. Each project is a blank canvas, an opportunity to create something completely new. I enjoy the challenge of stepping out of the box, creating something beautiful, fun, funky, different: whatever the client's heart desires.
